    Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.64% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Taiwan, the declined 0.64%.

    The best performers of the session on the were ALi Corp (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 2.85 points to trade at 31.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Logah Technology Corp (TW:) added 8.65% or 0.64 points to end at 8.04 and Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:) was up 8.36% or 1.40 points to 18.15 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 2.90 points to trade at 26.25 at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) declined 9.94% or 2.60 points to end at 23.55 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) was down 9.91% or 7.60 points to 69.10.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

    Shares in Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.36% or 1.40 to 18.15.

    Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.21% or 0.15 to $70.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.31% or 0.23 to hit $73.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.29 to trade at $2,747.41 a troy ounce.

    USD/TWD was down 0.29% to 32.41, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 106.25.
