President Donald Trump’s seating chart is a who’s who of AI.
Trump hosted a “Super Intelligence Luncheon” on Tuesday, dining with the CEOs of most major AI labs and tech companies. Elon Musk will be on Trump’s left; Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will be on his right.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Sundar Pichai were both one seat removed from Trump. Interestingly, two of the other big AI labs — OpenAI and Anthropic — were far removed from Trump.
OpenAI was represented by its president, Greg Brockman, while CEO Sam Altman continued his media blitz for the company’s DevDay. Brockman was positioned across the table and five seats down from Trump.
OpenAI’s sometimes-contentious partner, Microsoft, was also present. CEO Satya Nadella sat closer to Trump than Brockman.
Anthropic has long had a rocky relationship with the Trump administration. Its CEO, Dario Amodei, sat six seats down from Trump, almost at the end of the table. Amodei was further from Trump than the CEOs of chip companies like Broadcom and Micron.
Tom Brown, who served as an emissary for Anthropic during government negotiations, was also at the lunch. He sat on the opposite side of Trump, at the end of the table.

Some other interesting lunchers: Palo Alto Networks’ Nikesh Arora, ServiceNow’s Bill McDermott, and “All-In” co-host Chamath Palihapitiya. Palantir was represented by both its CEO, Alex Karp, and its CTO, Shyam Sankar.
Amazon was represented by its founder and executive chairman, Jeff Bezos, rather than current CEO Andy Jassy.
Noticeably absent: Apple. As the company aims to catch up in the AI race, neither former CEO Tim Cook nor current CEO John Ternus was listed as a guest at the event.
The lunch began at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. It is named after “Super Intelligence,” the proposed renaming of AI that Trump announced last week.
After lunch, Trump said he had officially changed the name.
“We’ve changed the name officially today,” Trump said outside the White House. “The name has been officially changed by the biggest, the smartest, the greatest people anywhere in the world.”
He also said he signed a “morally binding” agreement with the tech leaders.
Zuckerberg shared some details of the agreement with reporters.
“We drafted a set of principles and commitments around building robust internal controls and detecting if there are any issues with the technology, coupled with multiple layers of auditing and controls, starting with internal risk review, external auditors and evaluators, and agreeing that we’re going to have all of our boards of directors independently review the reports that come from the auditors,” he said.
