President Donald Trump has offered the job of White House press secretary to Katie Zacharia, a senior communications advisor at the technology company behind Truth Social and a frequent cable news presence, a White House official confirmed to Business Insider.

If she accepts the job, Zacharia would fill the role previously held by Karoline Leavitt, who left the job in August to spend more time with her young children.

Zacharia did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.

Here’s what to know about her.

Where has Katie Zacharia worked before?

Zacharia works as a senior communications advisor at Trump Media and Technology Group, which runs Truth Social.

Zacharia previously worked as a spokesperson for former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem at the Department of Homeland Security, and as a commentator for Fox News and Newsmax.

Her LinkedIn profile also indicates that she serves as general counsel for the conservative nonprofit Fix California, and served as a White House intern in 2006, during President George W. Bush’s second term.
