Taylor Swift Wears Ralph Lauren Dress for Engagement to Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift is living up to her Miss Americana nickname in the most romantic way.

On Tuesday, the 35-year-old pop icon announced that she’s engaged to NFL quarterback Travis Kelce, 35, with a series of photos posted to Instagram. In the images, she’s seen embracing her fiancé, showing off her massive engagement ring, and wearing a simple dress.

The latter was designed by Ralph Lauren and costs $398. It’s striped, sleeveless, and made from a mulberry silk blend.

Most interestingly, though, Swift’s dress subtly matched Kelce’s outfit.

The Kansas City Chiefs player wore a $138 cable-knit polo top from Ralph Lauren, paired with white shorts and brown suede loafers.

Jefferies analysts said in a Wednesday note that the couple wearing Ralph Lauren during their engagement was an “encouraging catalyst for the brand.”

“We believe consumers will continue to appreciate the timeless style and affordable price points for the brand, making it relatively durable over fashion and economic cycles,” the analysts said.

The note added that the dress was sold out “in a matter of minutes.” Per the latest checks by Business Insider, the dress was out of stock on the retailer’s website in all sizes.

Swift has worn the American designer since the start of her career and has continued to do so throughout her relationship with Kelce.

On an October 2024 date night, for example, she wore a $2,498 Ralph Lauren coat over a Gucci corset and RTA faux-leather miniskirt.

Swift and Kelce began dating in the summer of 2023. Recently, Swift even appeared on an episode of Kelce’s podcast to announce her coming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Of course, it’s unclear if Swift and Kelce purposefully coordinated their engagement looks. It might’ve just been a happy coincidence.

Either way, Ralph Lauren might want to start sketching some dress and tuxedo designs, just in case.
