    Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 1.52% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Taiwan, the fell 1.52% to hit a new 1-month low.

    The best performers of the session on the were In Win Development Inc (TW:), which rose 9.95% or 9.50 points to trade at 105.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Arima Communications Corp (TW:) added 9.91% or 1.65 points to end at 18.30 and Avision Inc (TW:) was up 7.38% or 0.35 points to 5.09 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Logah Technology Corp (TW:) declined 9.66% or 0.65 points to end at 6.08 and Farglory Land Development Co Ltd (TW:) was down 8.20% or 5.50 points to 61.60.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

    Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; up 9.91% or 1.65 to 18.30. Shares in Logah Technology Corp (TW:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.66% or 0.65 to 6.08.

    Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.12% or 0.08 to $68.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $72.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 8.95 to trade at $2,655.85 a troy ounce.

    USD/TWD was up 0.22% to 32.55, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.22% to 0.22.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.24.
