    Mexico stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC down 0.27% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Mexico, the lost 0.27%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 2.85% or 0.68 points to trade at 24.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) added 2.76% or 4.59 points to end at 170.94 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 1.89% or 6.31 points to 340.01 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which fell 3.05% or 1.37 points to trade at 43.51 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:) declined 1.71% or 0.75 points to end at 43.19 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) was down 1.49% or 2.05 points to 135.76.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 108 to 68 and 12 ended unchanged.

    Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.20% or 5.30 to $2,633.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.33% or 0.92 to hit $70.16 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.90 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.

    USD/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 20.17, while EUR/MXN fell 0.06% to 20.97.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
