McDonald’s restaurants in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan have been hit by a technical outage that leaves them unable to process orders.

“We are aware of a technology outage currently impacting our restaurants nationwide and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” a spokesperson for McDonald’s Australia told BI on Friday. “We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.”

A similar statement was also issued by McDonald’s New Zealand, per The New Zealand Herald. One staff member told the New Zealand newspaper that they weren’t able to take or receive orders because the computer screens weren’t functioning.

McDonald’s Japan said in an X post on the same day that it was experiencing a “system failure” as well.
