On Friday, September 11, 2026, digital assets faced renewed downward pressure as hot wholesale inflation data and crude oil’s surge past $100 a barrel drove up US interest rate expectations. Ahead of next Wednesday’s FOMC meeting, Bitcoin is trading down 0.9% on the day and 4.3% on the week at approximately $77,200. Ethereum has flattened out daily but remains down 1.6% over the last seven days at $2,470, while Solana has slipped 1.1% over 24 hours to hold near $100, marking a 3.7% weekly decline.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has contracted by 0.9% over the past 24 hours to $2.63 trillion. Market participants have priced in a 69.6% probability of a quarter-point US interest rate hike in September, with the probability of an additional hike in October rising to 54.3%.

Despite the tightening liquidity conditions affecting major cap assets, early-stage capital continues to flow into cross-chain infrastructure. The presale for LiquidChain (LIQUID), a Layer 3 network designed to unify liquidity across the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana blockchains, has raised over $965,000 and is rapidly approaching the $1 million threshold. The capital commitment suggests sustained demand for interoperability solutions even as macroeconomic uncertainty weighs on the broader market.

Recent US economic data has challenged expectations for a near-term monetary easing cycle. August producer prices rose by 0.4% month-on-month, pushing the annualized wholesale inflation rate to 5.4%. This print coincided with a 4% surge in US crude oil to just over $100 per barrel, driven by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The inflationary energy shock has already prompted the European Central Bank to deliver a quarter-point rate hike and upwardly revise its inflation outlook.

Market attention now shifts to the upcoming US Consumer Price Index (CPI) release, where consensus estimates project a 3.4% headline annual rate and a 2.4% core reading.

The Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, previously recorded core inflation at 3.3% in July, alongside a 3.7% headline figure. Bank of America analysts estimate that the latest wholesale data puts the core PCE on a monthly trajectory of 0.26% (rounding to 0.3%). Coupled with low jobless claims, the data reinforces the case for prolonged restrictive policy, with December rate-hike odds now hovering near 60%.

Market analyst Daan Crypto recently noted the highly volatile, non-linear price action Bitcoin has exhibited since its mid-August expansion, identifying the upcoming CPI release as the next critical catalyst for price discovery.

$BTC Price action been far from clean the past 3 weeks, but here we are.

Tomorrow is CPI. Good chance this is not going into the weekend with its current price.

As macro-induced volatility persists, some market participants are diversifying into early-stage utility presales to hedge against spot market fluctuations. This trend has supported the funding velocity of LiquidChain, which aims to resolve liquidity fragmentation across isolated Layer 1 networks.

LiquidChain Layer 3 Protocol Targets Cross-Chain Liquidity Fragmentation

The upcoming LiquidChain (LIQUID) Layer 3 network is engineered to integrate Ethereum’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, Bitcoin’s $1.54 trillion capital base, and Solana’s high-throughput execution environment into a unified layer.

Rather than relying on traditional wrapped tokens—which introduce smart contract and bridging risks—LiquidChain utilizes trust-minimized state proofs that directly verify Bitcoin UTXOs, Ethereum account states, and Solana accounts. The network features a Solana-class virtual machine (SVM) designed for sub-second execution, supported by cross-chain messaging protocols to enable atomic settlement across the three networks.

The native utility token, LIQUID, serves several core functions within the ecosystem: paying network gas fees, securing the network through staking, participating in governance, and accessing advanced L3 features.

The total token supply is capped at 11,800,000,100 LIQUID, allocated as follows:

    • 35% allocated to core development
    • 32.5% designated for LiquidLabs
    • 15% held in the AquaVault for business development and ecosystem initiatives
    • 10% reserved for staking rewards
    • 7.5% allocated for growth and exchange listings

The LIQUID presale has raised over $965,000, leaving less than $35,000 before reaching its next major milestone. The project’s funding rate has remained steady despite the broader market drawdown, indicating that infrastructure addressing multi-chain liquidity remains a priority for on-chain allocators.

    Presale Access and Staking Mechanics

Investors can acquire LIQUID by connecting a compatible Web3 wallet to the official LiquidChain site. Alternatively, the presale is accessible via the Best Wallet mobile application, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, under the “Upcoming Tokens” tab.

The presale supports multiple payment methods, including BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, USDT, USDC, and direct bank card purchases. During the current presale stage, which concludes tomorrow, LIQUID is priced at $0.01495. Purchased tokens can be immediately committed to the staking contract, which currently offers an estimated APY of up to 1,182%.

To receive real-time updates on development milestones, exchange listings, and stage transitions, Follow LiquidChain on X and connect with the project on Telegram.
