Is crypto back? That question is gaining traction again as Bitcoin trades just below $80,000 after a sharp rebound in August

Is crypto back? That question is gaining traction again as Bitcoin trades just below $80,000 after a sharp rebound in the second half of August, spot Bitcoin ETFs pull in a record $3.51 billion for the month so far, and total crypto market value climbs to roughly $2.68 trillion. Sentiment has also stayed elevated, with the Fear and Greed Index remaining in “extreme greed” territory for several sessions.

BTC’s move has been significant. After falling to a monthly low of $62,275, Bitcoin rallied above $81,400, giving traders fresh reason to revisit bull-market calls. Ethereum is now consolidating near $2,500, while Solana has been one of the clearest large-cap outperformers, up 4% on the day and 17.8% over the past week, keeping SOL above $105 after briefly hitting $110.

At the same time, markets are watching catalysts outside crypto. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh is due to speak at the Jackson Hole Symposium, and an SEC proposal covering crypto custody rules for advisers and funds is advancing through White House review. Those developments could shape near-term volatility even as the broader recovery narrative strengthens.

Against that backdrop, traders are also rotating attention toward infrastructure plays. LiquidChain (LIQUID), a new Layer 3 network focused on linking Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana liquidity, has raised $953,000 in its presale and now sits $47,000 short of the $1 million mark.

Is Crypto Back? The August Rally Is Making the Case

For much of June, July, and early August, Bitcoin was stuck between roughly $60,000 and $67,000. That range finally broke as ETF demand, short covering, and shifting views on rates and the dollar hit the market at the same time. Ethereum’s weekly gain at the height of the move approached 30%, while Solana’s rebound has been supported by stronger on-chain activity and governance proposals aimed at slowing new token issuance and increasing fee burns.

Even so, the market is not moving in a straight line. Bitcoin is mostly oscillating around $80,000, Ethereum is attempting to hold the $2,500 mark, and Solana has pulled back from an intraweek spike above $110 despite continuing to lead major tokens on a seven-day basis. Funding rates have cooled from overheated levels, while options pricing still points to a broad possible trading range rather than an immediate breakout.

The trader Daan Crypto, who has more than 415,000 followers on X, has urged patience as BTC continues what he described as a slow “crab walk” inside a gradually rising channel, with a possible target above $83,000 by the end of the month.

$BTC Slowly chopping higher. Marginally higher highs into higher lows.

Obviously you don’t want this to break down, but generally speaking I feel like the crab walk up tends to end in a larger expansion at some point.

Anyways, $80K is the resistance to break first. Just need to… pic.twitter.com/8K592UZh3N

Why Cross-Chain Liquidity Is Back in Focus

If crypto is entering a stronger phase, one familiar issue tends to return quickly: liquidity is spread across separate ecosystems, making transfers and app usage more cumbersome than many users want. That is the problem LiquidChain is trying to address by building a Layer 3 blockchain designed to sit above Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, instead of competing directly with them as another standalone Layer 1.

LiquidChain (LIQUID) says its stack combines a Solana-class virtual machine for parallel execution with cross-chain proofs and messaging capable of attesting to Bitcoin UTXOs, Ethereum account states, and Solana accounts. The goal is to make liquidity across the three major ecosystems more directly usable without first requiring every asset to be wrapped.

According to the project, developers on the L3 will be able to deploy once and immediately access users and liquidity pools across all three networks, while the chain logs verifiable proof-of-execution data. LiquidChain also plans to offer a unified liquidity interface covering portfolio views, routing, and access to its proof registry.

That framing helps explain why the project is attracting attention while BTC, ETH, and SOL consolidate. Rather than pitching itself as a replacement network, LiquidChain is presenting itself as connective infrastructure at a moment when the market is once again asking, “Is crypto back?”

    LiquidChain Presale Nears $1 Million

LIQUID is intended to be used for ecosystem incentives, staking, and gas on the network. The token has a total supply of 11.8 billion LIQUID, allocated as 35% for development, 32.5% for LiquidLabs marketing, 15% for the AquaVault for business development and community activations, 10% for rewards, and 7.5% for growth and listings.

The current presale price is $0.01494. Buyers can stake during the sale, with a dynamic APY of up to 1,195%. The raise has now passed $953,000, leaving the project close to the $1 million milestone.

Those interested ahead of exchange listings can buy through the official LiquidChain website by connecting a wallet and using the purchase widget. The sale accepts BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, USDC, and USDT, along with a standard bank-card option.

LIQUID is also available through the Best Wallet app on the Apple App Store and Google Play, where users can find it under the “Upcoming Tokens” tab. The token remains priced at $0.01494 until later today, and the 1,195% staking APY is available immediately.
