    Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.11% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.11%, while the index lost 0.19%, and the index lost 0.07%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.41% or 0.35 points to trade at 14.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) added 1.88% or 0.25 points to end at 13.55 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) was up 1.76% or 0.39 points to 22.60 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.41% or 12.00 points to trade at 340.00 at the close. Merck KGaA (ETR:) declined 2.18% or 3.35 points to end at 150.30 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was down 2.06% or 2.35 points to 111.50.

    The top performers on the MDAX were Aurubis AG (ETR:) which rose 4.90% to 73.90, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was up 3.62% to settle at 33.46 and Stroeer SE (ETR:) which gained 2.86% to close at 57.55.

    The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.16% to 13.36 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 4.70% to settle at 21.91 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 4.28% to 138.60 at the close.

    The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which rose 2.22% to 80.70, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was up 1.76% to settle at 22.60 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which gained 1.37% to close at 258.50.

    The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.16% to 13.36 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 4.70% to settle at 21.91 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.41% to 340.00 at the close.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 327 to 290 and 24 ended unchanged.

    Shares in Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.88% or 0.25 to 13.55. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.70% or 1.08 to 21.91. Shares in Stroeer SE (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.86% or 1.60 to 57.55. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.70% or 1.08 to 21.91.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.12% to 14.90.

    Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.23% or 5.50 to $2,356.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $85.28 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.09 to trade at $89.51 a barrel.

    EUR/USD was down 1.11% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.86.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.07% at 105.03.
