    Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.76% By Investing.com

    Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.76%

    Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

    At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.76% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 0.69%, and the index added 0.78%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.03% or 1.34 points to trade at 34.56 at the close. Meanwhile, BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) added 2.43% or 1.13 points to end at 47.46 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.20% or 1.62 points to 75.10 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 1.66% or 7.00 points to trade at 414.80 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.61% or 1.58 points to end at 96.32 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.31% or 1.85 points to 139.10.

    The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 12.91% to 12.55, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was up 4.71% to settle at 109.00 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.40% to close at 4.62.

    The worst performers were Puma SE (ETR:) which was down 4.06% to 40.69 in late trade, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.37% to settle at 64.55 and Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:) which was down 2.06% to 40.02 at the close.

    The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which rose 4.48% to 5.96, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.03% to settle at 34.56 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 3.10% to close at 19.29.

    The worst performers were Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was down 1.69% to 232.00 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 1.63% to settle at 32.07 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.34% to 29.64 at the close.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 374 to 251 and 30 ended unchanged.

    Shares in CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.34% or 0.10 to 29.64.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.79% to 12.55 a new 3-years low.

    Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.14% or 2.80 to $2,041.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.02% or 0.79 to hit $78.37 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.69% or 0.56 to trade at $82.23 a barrel.

    EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.86.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 103.69.
