Dogecoin is still holding most of this week’s advance even after retreating from a break above $0.10, a move that has also redirected trader attention toward smaller dog-themed tokens.
DOGE spent much of August range-bound before joining a broader crypto rebound and climbing from $0.07 to above $0.10 on Saturday. It has since pulled back and is trading above $0.085, leaving the token with a market capitalization of $14.8 billion and $880 million in 24-hour volume.
Despite falling almost 5% over the past day, DOGE remains up roughly 23% on the week. That resilience has kept meme-coin speculation active, with Maxi Doge (MAXI) among the projects drawing inflows. The presale has raised $4.85 million so far, with the team targeting both major CEX and DEX listings later this year.
DOGE Pullback Has Not Erased the Market Shift
At the start of last week, Dogecoin was still near $0.07. By Saturday, it had moved above $0.10 as the broader market reacted to the US Treasury’s announcement of an expanded bond buyback plan. DOGE is now experiencing a pullback, changing hands around $0.086 after rebounding from support near $0.085.
For the market, the key point is that the retracement has not wiped out the week’s gains. At current levels, the move still looks more like a pause after a sharp rally than a full reversal.
Derivatives data also points to increased participation. DOGE open interest in futures rose from about $930 million in late June to $1.21 billion by mid-August, equivalent to 17.2 billion DOGE. On a coin basis, that is close to the level recorded in October 2025, when Dogecoin itself traded near $0.25.
Analyst Trader Tardigrade has also published an updated Dogecoin view, outlining a near-term rally target of $0.38 alongside the possibility of a larger long-term move.
Smaller Dog Tokens Catch the Spillover
With DOGE back in focus, traders are also scanning adjacent meme coins that could benefit if interest in dog-themed assets broadens. Maxi Doge is one of the names being pushed into that conversation.
Maxi Doge (MAXI) is an Ethereum-based meme coin using a stylized Doge character presented as a bodybuilding, high-risk-trading persona. Beyond the branding, the project is positioning itself around participation features rather than a simple buy-and-hold pitch.
The token’s presale includes staking, currently advertised at 64% APY, as well as community competitions, trading tournaments, and events linked to planned futures exchange partnerships. The stated goal is to build activity around the token during and after the presale period.
MAXI has a fixed supply of 150.24 billion tokens. According to the project, the allocation is 40% for marketing, 25% for the team’s Maxi Fund, 15% for development, 15% for liquidity, and 5% for staking. Smart contract audits from SolidProof and Coinsult reported that the team cannot mint additional tokens.
Presale Pricing, Listings and Access
The Maxi Doge presale stands at $4.85 million raised. The current token price is $0.0002835 until tomorrow, when it is scheduled to increase. After the presale closes, the team says it intends to pursue decentralized and centralized exchange listings, alongside the futures-platform partnerships and trading contests it has promoted.
Investors looking to participate can use the project’s official presale website by connecting a crypto wallet through the on-site widget. MAXI is also offered through the Best Wallet app in its “Upcoming Tokens” section, with downloads available via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Accepted payment methods include ETH, BNB, USDT and USDC, while bank cards are also supported. The current presale price is $0.0002835, and staking during the sale offers a 64% APY with rewards distributed daily. Tokens will become claimable once the presale ends.
For updates on future price stages and planned exchange listings, users can join the project’s Telegram group and follow Maxi Doge on X.
