Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone and smartwatch product design chief is stepping down, Bloomberg reported.
Tang Tan, whose title is vice president of product design, is out in February, the outlet reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The division of hardware engineering is reshuffling duties to handle the transition.
The iPhone and the Wearbles segment, of which Apple Watch is a part, represented about $240B in revenue for the 12 months through September out of total sales of $383B.
The departure is a blow to the company, the people said. He made critical decisions about Appleās (AAPL) most important products.
