- President-elect Donald Trump used Wednesday’s terrorist attack in New Orleans that left 15 dead as evidence that immigrant criminals are “far worse than the criminals we have in our country.” The attack on Wednesday was carried out by a U.S. citizen from Texas who previously served in the Army. Just after midnight Thursday, Trump blamed the Justice Department, FBI and Democrats for focusing their legal efforts on him instead of crime. “They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself,” Trump wrote, adding that the CIA should be involved.
