    U.S. stocks lower at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.82% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in NYSE, the lost 0.82%, while the index lost 1.55%, and the index lost 2.23%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Boeing Co (NYSE:), which rose 5.29% or 10.61 points to trade at 211.05 at the close. Meanwhile, UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:) added 1.62% or 8.15 points to end at 511.76 and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:) was up 0.37% or 0.16 points to 43.08 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell 3.94% or 2.06 points to trade at 50.18 at the close. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:) declined 2.69% or 11.01 points to end at 397.58 and Nike Inc (NYSE:) was down 2.54% or 2.65 points to 101.53.

    The top performers on the S&P 500 were Paramount Global Class B (NASDAQ:) which rose 6.65% to 14.59, Edwards Lifesciences Corp (NYSE:) which was up 6.16% to settle at 78.45 and Stryker Corporation (NYSE:) which gained 5.92% to close at 335.37.

    The worst performers were MarketAxess Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 17.80% to 225.51 in late trade, Rockwell Automation Inc (NYSE:) which lost 17.73% to settle at 252.76 and Teradyne Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 7.65% to 96.59 at the close.

    The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Infobird Co Ltd (NASDAQ:) which rose 115.87% to 1.36, Connexa Sports Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 101.21% to settle at 0.40 and Minim Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 61.42% to close at 4.10.

    The worst performers were Deep Medicine Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) which was down 64.72% to 2.96 in late trade, Nuvve Holding Corp (NASDAQ:) which lost 62.87% to settle at 1.24 and Kaixin Auto Holdings (NASDAQ:) which was down 60.59% to 0.29 at the close.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 2224 to 656 and 65 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2630 fell and 838 advanced, while 84 ended unchanged.

    Shares in Rockwell Automation Inc (NYSE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 17.73% or 54.46 to 252.76. Shares in Stryker Corporation (NYSE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.92% or 18.73 to 335.37. Shares in Deep Medicine Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; losing 64.72% or 5.43 to 2.96. Shares in Nuvve Holding Corp (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; falling 62.87% or 2.10 to 1.24. Shares in Kaixin Auto Holdings (NASDAQ:) fell to 5-year lows; down 60.59% or 0.44 to 0.29.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P 500 options, was up 7.81% to 14.35.

    Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.28% or 5.80 to $2,056.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.62% or 2.04 to hit $75.78 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.48% or 2.05 to trade at $80.45 a barrel.

    EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.08, while USD/JPY fell 0.44% to 146.96.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 103.40.
