SpaceX (SPACE) is seeking to convert the location of its business incorporation away from Delaware to Texas, according to a filing Wednesday from the Elon Musk-led company with the Texas Secretary of State’s office.
The filing comes after Musk’s nearly $56B pay package at Tesla recently was voided by a Delaware judge.
Musk already has shifted at least one of the six businesses he controls – brain implant company Neuralink Corp. – from Delaware.
He has not yet filed to move Tesla out of Delaware; such a shift would take more steps because it is a publicly traded company, unlike SpaceX (SPACE) and Neuralink.
