    Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.15% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.15% to hit a new all time high, while the index lost 0.07%, and the index added 0.02%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 3.03% or 0.50 points to trade at 16.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Merck KGaA (ETR:) added 2.12% or 3.40 points to end at 163.60 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 1.84% or 9.40 points to 521.00 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.42% or 0.57 points to trade at 39.92 at the close. Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) declined 1.37% or 1.29 points to end at 92.64 and Brenntag AG (ETR:) was down 1.06% or 0.84 points to 78.08.

    The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 2.47% to 24.50, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was up 1.78% to settle at 151.65 and Puma SE (ETR:) which gained 1.75% to close at 41.98.

    The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 5.56% to 53.50 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.19% to settle at 104.55 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 3.02% to 115.80 at the close.

    The top performers on the TecDAX were Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.22% to 27.64, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 2.47% to settle at 24.50 and Bechtle AG (ETR:) which gained 1.45% to close at 48.98.

    The worst performers were Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was down 9.85% to 64.10 in late trade, Kontron AG (ETR:) which lost 7.76% to settle at 20.44 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 5.56% to 53.50 at the close.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

    Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 1.84% or 9.40 to 521.00. Shares in Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.78% or 2.65 to 151.65.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.74% to 12.77.

    Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.90% or 42.10 to $2,254.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.16% or 1.76 to hit $83.11 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $86.99 a barrel.

    EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.27.
