    Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.02% By Investing.com

    Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.02%

    Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.02%, while the index fell 0.15%, and the index added 0.68%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:), which rose 2.13% or 4.70 points to trade at 225.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:) added 1.63% or 1.28 points to end at 79.92 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.39% or 1.85 points to 135.05 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 4.74% or 1.03 points to trade at 20.70 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 4.19% or 0.47 points to end at 10.62 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 2.52% or 3.55 points to 137.60.

    The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 7.79% to 38.88, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 6.53% to settle at 93.60 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.23% to close at 79.80.

    The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.88% to 9.48 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 5.51% to settle at 14.67 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 4.01% to 57.40 at the close.

    The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 7.79% to 38.88, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 6.53% to settle at 93.60 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 6.05% to close at 35.40.

    The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.88% to 9.48 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 6.40% to settle at 27.78 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 4.01% to 57.40 at the close.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 232 and 24 ended unchanged.

    Shares in Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.13% or 4.70 to 225.10. Shares in Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.63% or 1.28 to 79.92. Shares in Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 1.39% or 1.85 to 135.05. Shares in Merck KGaA (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.52% or 3.55 to 137.60. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 7.79% or 2.81 to 38.88. Shares in Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.88% or 0.70 to 9.48. Shares in Aixtron SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 7.79% or 2.81 to 38.88. Shares in Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.88% or 0.70 to 9.48. Shares in Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.40% or 1.90 to 27.78. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.05% or 2.02 to 35.40.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.77% to 13.35.

    Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.08% or 1.55 to $1,995.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.84% or 2.74 to hit $68.58 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.70% or 2.81 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.

    EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.86.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.49.
