Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 1.47% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 1.50%, and the index gained 1.96%.
The best performers of the session on the were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:), which rose 5.31% or 2.42 points to trade at 48.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (ETR:) added 4.75% or 2.26 points to end at 49.83 and Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:) was up 4.70% or 3.20 points to 71.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.29% or 2.92 points to trade at 85.72 at the close. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.14% or 7.00 points to end at 216.10 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.64% or 0.43 points to 25.77.
The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 13.44% to 102.10, Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:) which was up 7.07% to settle at 62.66 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which gained 6.42% to close at 14.25.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 3.40% to 21.89 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.96% to settle at 9.63 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.58% to 4.43 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 6.42% to 14.25, Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was up 5.23% to settle at 48.68 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.93% to close at 88.22.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.50% to 30.12 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.96% to settle at 9.63 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 1.88% to 19.34 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 410 to 209 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.58% or 0.07 to 4.43. Shares in CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.50% or 1.42 to 30.12.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.61% to 13.07.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.15% or 3.10 to $2,031.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.16% or 0.90 to hit $78.81 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.78 to trade at $83.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.97.
