John M. Chase CSX Corporation (NASDAQ:CSX) issued a statement about a derailment of a train north of Livingston, Kentucky. The company said preliminary information indicated that at least 16 cars were involved, including two molten sulphur cars that have been breached and have lost some of their contents which is on fire. Two other cars were carrying magnesium hydroxide, but CSX (CSX) said they likely were not breached in the derailment. The other cars had non-hazardous materials.
