- The FBI has sent letters to the passengers of the ill-fated Alaska Air (NYSE:ALK) flight in early January that had a door plug blow out mid flight from a Boeing (NYSE:BA) 737 Max 9 informing them they may be victims of a crime.
- “As a victim specialist with the Seattle division, I’m contacting you because we have identified you as a possible victim of a crime,” the letter from the bureau’s Seattle office, obtained by The New York Times, reads.
- In late February, reports surfaced that Boeing (BA) was under Department of Justice investigation over the incident.
