Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.48%, while the index climbed 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bouygues SA (EPA:), which rose 3.09% or 0.91 points to trade at 30.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Safran SA (EPA:) added 2.99% or 6.30 points to end at 217.20 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) was up 2.86% or 2.81 points to 101.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vivendi SA (EPA:), which fell 1.65% or 0.16 points to trade at 9.53 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:) declined 1.53% or 0.42 points to end at 26.78 and Capgemini SE (EPA:) was down 1.36% or 2.20 points to 159.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Bouygues SA (EPA:) which rose 3.09% to 30.37, Imerys SA (EPA:) which was up 3.07% to settle at 30.84 and Safran SA (EPA:) which gained 2.99% to close at 217.20.
The worst performers were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 8.75% to 1.11 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:) which lost 4.10% to settle at 2.01 and Emeis SA (EPA:) which was down 4.09% to 6.28 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 256 to 214 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 8.75% or 0.11 to 1.11.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 3.05 to $2,749.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.57% or 1.12 to hit $72.59 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 1.05 to trade at $76.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 103.42.
