The Consumer Price Index in Spain increased 0.8% in March over the previous month. Retail sales in Spain increased 0.5% in February over the previous month.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 (STOXX) held steady on Wednesday, trading +0.04%, as investors assessed Spanish inflation print, and French consumer confidence data. Markets are also looking ahead to Friday’s U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures report due from the Commerce Department. Retail stocks ticked up in early trade, while travel stocks were trading in red.
Coming up in the session: Riksbank policy decision, Euro Area consumer confidence and economic sentiment data.
In the bond market, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield (US10Y) was unchanged at 4.23%.
Germany’s 10-year yield was down 2 basis points to 2.33%.
U.K.’s 10-year yield was down less than 1 basis point to 3.96%.
