If a full-blown crypto bull market returns between now and the end of 2026, the Sam Altman-backed ChatGPT AI predicts an XRP target for January 1, 2027, of $5.50, with a top-end target of $7.00.
That would represent roughly a 4.5x move from the current ~$1.36 level. The key thing about XRP’s current setup is that the market has already shown it can move extremely quickly once momentum arrives.
XRP surged +238% during 2024, rising from roughly $0.62 to more than $2, before reaching a new all-time high around $3.65 in July 2025.
The subsequent 2026 correction has been brutal, taking XRP from above $2.40 at the beginning of the year to below $1 in August. But that may actually provide the foundation for another major leg higher if the broader crypto market turns decisively bullish.
More importantly, XRP has recently shown signs of life. It fell to around $0.99 in August before rebounding toward $1.70, producing a substantial recovery from the lows. Technical analysis published this week identifies a falling-wedge breakout followed by a potential bullish-flag formation.
Fundamental catalysts could also amplify a bull-market move. U.S.-listed XRP ETFs have been attracting capital, while RLUSD and XRPL activity have continued to expand. Recent reporting puts cumulative XRP ETF inflows at more than $1.7Bn, while RLUSD’s total assets have climbed above $2.4Bn.

The most interesting historical comparison is 2024–25. XRP went from about $0.62 at the beginning of 2024 to $2.72 during the year, more than 4x. It then continued to rise in 2025, eventually reaching about $3.65.
That creates an important precedent: once XRP escapes a prolonged accumulation/consolidation phase, its historical price action shows that 200–300%+ moves are entirely possible.
The first major hurdle would be the $1.50–$1.70 area, which XRP has already struggled around during the latest recovery. Above that, $2.40 becomes an important resistance level because it represents the 2026 high.
A decisive break above $2.40 would put the market back into the territory between the 2025 ATH and new price discovery. Once XRP convincingly breaks $3.65, the technical situation changes dramatically.
There is essentially no historical resistance above the ATH, so momentum, psychology, and Fibonacci extensions matter more than traditional resistance levels. That’s where I could see a genuine bull-market blow-off taking XRP toward $5–$7.
