Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.04% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.04%.

The best performers of the session on the were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:), which rose 3.21% or 151.00 points to trade at 4,851.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:) added 2.82% or 124.00 points to end at 4,514.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:) was up 2.35% or 168.00 points to 7,330.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:), which fell 3.47% or 2,420.00 points to trade at 67,390.00 at the close. Camtek Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.86% or 790.00 points to end at 26,810.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.48% or 45.00 points to 1,768.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 261 to 196 and 81 ended unchanged.

Shares in Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.21% or 151.00 to 4,851.00. Shares in Harel (TASE:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.82% or 124.00 to 4,514.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.58% or 0.40 to $68.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.57% or 0.41 to hit $72.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 12.01 to trade at $2,664.19 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.60, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.08% to 3.81.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 105.84.
