Strategy added Bitcoin even as an MSCI delisting review put its funding model under scrutiny. BTC traded at $81,500 after recovering from a dip below $80,000. Is Strategy’s Bitcoin price prediction going to win out?

The company bought 267 BTC for more than $22 million last week, its sixth purchase since August. It also spent about $193 million repurchasing STRC preferred shares, and authorized another $1 billion for preferred-share buybacks, lifting the total authorization to $3 billion.

Meanwhile, MSCI is reviewing whether asset-holding companies such as Strategy should remain in its indexes, with a decision expected November 11. Oil’s retreat helped restore risk appetite, but the index question leaves BTC with a company-specific overhang alongside broader macro uncertainty. The technical levels now matter.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can BTC Reclaim $84,000 This Week?

BTC’s $81,500 quote puts it near the middle of a market range that has repeatedly tested $80,000 support. The rebound briefly carried Bitcoin above $83,000 on October 19, as oil prices eased and risk appetite improved, then it started to stabilize.

Technically, $82,200 and the $80,000 area are support markers; the 20-day EMA is near $82,579. Resistance sits around $83,000–$84,000, with a more substantial selling area near $87,000. RSI below 50 and a negative MACD histogram suggest momentum has not yet confirmed a fresh leg higher.

  • Bull case: a sustained break above $84,000 could put $87,000 back in view and revive the $90,000 target.
  • Base case: BTC continues consolidating between roughly $80,000 and $84,000 while traders weigh the MSCI decision.
  • Bear case: a close below $80,000 would weaken the rebound and raise the risk of renewed selling.

Bitcoin Hyper Targets Early-Mover Interest as Bitcoin Tests Key Levels

Strategy’s buying supports the long-term accumulation narrative, but it does not remove near-term volatility. Nor does a possible index exclusion automatically mean BTC sales: the estimated $2.8 billion of potential selling relates to Strategy shares, while the larger concern is whether a weaker share price constrains its ability to raise capital and buy more Bitcoin.

That uncertainty can push traders to examine infrastructure plays alongside BTC exposure. Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project incorporating the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), positioning itself around faster smart contracts and lower-cost execution in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

It is priced at just $0.0136875, with more than $33.1 million raised. Staking is at a high 30% APY, but only for those who buy at the presale stage.

The project’s feature set includes a Decentralized Canonical Bridge for BTC transfers and low-latency Layer 2 processing.
