Long-term mortgage rates saw their largest weekly decline in about six months, making way for higher refinancing activities, the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Survey showed.

30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.63% as of March 6, down from 6.76% last week and 6.88% in the year-ago period.
