- JELD-WEN Holding (NYSE:JELD) announced on Thursday the closure of its Vista, California, and Hawkins, Wisconsin, manufacturing facilities.
- In connection with the site closures, JELD expects to incur one-time costs of ~$45M and generate annual pre-tax income improvements of at least $11M.
- According to JELD, the Vista, California, site manufactures composite windows (marketed and sold under the brand name Auraline) and has ~110 associates.
- “Multiple market factors have made it prohibitive to competitively sustain the composite windows product line and it will be discontinued,” JELD said.
- The Hawkins, Wisconsin, site manufactures wood windows and employs ~340 associates, the company said.
- JELD said it will consolidate production from Hawkins into its wood windows manufacturing facility in Rantoul, Illinois.
